The MESA employs technology that has evolved over two decades of research and development. The result is unsurpassed sensitivity and repeatability combined with the ability to handle a wide range of sample sizes - from below 10 to 300 mm in diameter.

The latest generation MESA is computer controlled and capable of displaying and measuring Hysteresis (BH) Loops, Magnetoresistance (MR/GMR), and Magnetostriction. When combined with Shb Instruments patented TripleBobbin pickup assemblies, precise and repeatable measurements can be made on ultra-thin magnetic films.

MESA FEATURES

 

Building on the knowledge and experience from more than two decades of magnetic measurement innovations the MESA boasts superior sensitivity and repeatability.

  

In addition, the MESA is the only existing Hysteresis loop tracer that makes measurements in the frequency range of 10 Hz and below. The MESA incorporates a "pattern memory" feature, to digitally cancel ambient magnetic fields and allow for measurements at extremely high sensitivities, even in relatively noisy magnetic environments. When installed with the Digital Signal Processing option, any remaining noise can be significantly be reduced by digital filtering algorithms

The Model 110 Magnetic Measurement System is a very high field version of our industry-standard MESA, designed specifically to measure high-coercivity samples. Powerful amplifiers and specially designed water-cooled solenoid assemblies are used to achieve the magnetic fields required by advanced materials.

MODEL 112 & 115 FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

 

The Model 112 and Model 115 magnetic measurement instruments boast high fields of 1.5 Tesla and 2.0 Tesla respectively. In addition, the instruments are the only existing Hysteresis loop tracer that makes measurements in the frequency range of 10 Hz and below. Other features and performance are similar to our industry standard MESA platform. Both instruments incorporate a "pattern memory" feature, to digitally cancel ambient magnetic fields and allow for measurements at extremely high sensitivities, even in relatively noisy magnetic environments.
